About Us

Thank you for your interest in Hughes Indexing and Michele Hughes.

Michele earned a Bachelor's degree in history with a concentration in American and Ancient histories from Ramapo College of New Jersey.  Also from Ramapo College, she received a degree in literature, concentrating on English literature, specifically Shakespeare.

After completing her coursework in these two areas, Michele attended the University of South Carolina where, under the direction of Leland Ferguson, she completed her thesis entitled,
The Formation and Development of an Ideology of Racism in Salem, NC , for which she earned her Master's degree in Anthropology.  While working on this degree, she applied and was accepted into the University's Library and Information Science degree program where she completed coursework in the theory and practice of indexing.  She has been a member of the American Society of Indexers since 2005, and a member of the IndexPeers list_serv since 2006.

We have attached a copy of Michele's
resume as well as a short sample of her indexing work.  If you would like to discuss your project or just get some more information, please feel free to contact us using the contact information provided above.

Again, thank you for your time, and we hope to hear from you soon.
